All about Canyon Valley, Khandala

Canyon Valley, nestled between Khandala and Lonavala, boasts a picturesque landscape. On one side of the valley is Lonavala, and on the other is Khandala. Adding to its beauty, the Ulhas River gently flows through the beautiful valley.

Renowned for its challenging trekking trail, the journey begins with a descent down a rugged rocky terrain, requiring rappelling skills. The descent is a solid hustle and typically takes around 2 - 2.5 hours to hit the valley's lowest point.

The path leads through dense forests and mysterious caves, making it a perfect expedition for a group of friends.

Upon reaching the bottom, the serene Ulhas River accompanies you, offering a soothing and inspirational ambience. As you stroll alongside the quietly flowing river, in 20 minutes, you stumble upon the Canyon Valley waterfall.

Standing tall at 320 feet (2 levels of around 150 feet each), a magnificent waterfall is laid out before your eyes. Close your eyes, and you will hear that mighty roar of the waterfall as it takes a spectacular dive into the Ulhas River.

It is a workout getting there, but trust us, as you get closer to the waterfall and listen to its sound, you will find yourself picking up the pace to reach it faster.

The waterfall is an idyllic spot to linger, enjoy a meal, dip your toes in the river, take a refreshing swim, and immerse yourself in peaceful tranquillity.

#Trivia: Canyon Valley is also known as Sandhan Valley or Valley of Shadows because of the shadows formed by the rocks on both sides when the sun is shining.
